Mayor Becky Tooley, Vice Mayor, Len Freund, Environmental Advisory
Board member Mikkie Belvedere and Commissioners Marilyn Gerber and Lou
Sarbone presented the Mackey Family with the 2008 Landscape Award.
Congratulations!
“I entered the Landscaping Awards contest this year because I think it’s a great way to showcase native plants in home landscaping. We started our yard 25 years ago, have eliminated most of our lawn, use no pesticides, and enjoy watching all kinds of wildlife without leaving our house. So this award is the icing on the cake.”

member Mikkie Belvedere and Commissioners Marilyn Gerber and Lou Sarbone
congratulated the Landscape Award Honorable mentions to Charles Coxon
(on bended knee) and Garry and Elizabeth Taft.
Great planting! This year, we had our largest application pool and tough
competition for the 2008 Landscape Award. The winners had excellent aesthetic
qualities and met all the necessary landscaping code requirements including
the appropriate number of street and lot trees.
