Apply for Affordable Housing Advisory Committee

The City of Coconut Creek will be accepting applications in May for 11 positions on the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC). The Committee will make recommendations on incentives for affordable housing in Coconut Creek. Members will be subject to the provisions of the State’s Sunshine Law and will be appointed by the City Commission prior to June 30, 2008. Interested applicants must be actively engaged representatives in one of the following areas:

1. Residential home building industry

2. Banking or mortgage banking industry

3. Representative in the areas of construction labor

4. Advocate for low-income persons

5. For-profit developer

6. Not-for-profit developer

7. Real estate professional

8. Planning and zoning board member

9. Resident of the City

10. Representative of local businesses

11. Essential service personnel (for example,
police, fire-rescue, or teachers)
